East Rounton Village Hall

Commissioned by Sir Hugh Bell the iron master in 1906 the village hall was designed by George Jack who worked with Philip Webb who was responsible for the design of Rounton Grange and the model village of East Rounton. It had coal fired central heating and electricity long before the national grid and was used as a hospital during World War I.

There are six adjacent cottages in the village square as well as the main hall. It is used regularly for village events and managed by a charitable trust. We are presntly conducting a survey to see what local demand is for additional facilities or user groups at the village hall. Please take a few moments to fill in our questionaire. There are a few questions about events at the village hall, local groups and any new things that you would be interested in seeing in the future.

Next event:Photo Competition & Quiz on Saturday 10th September starting at 7.30pm at the Village Hall (proceeds to village hall funds). The entry form is online and can be returned to the post office in West Rounton or you can attach your digital photographs and email them with titles to Photo Competition (clicking this link will start your email client)

Most recently Pumpkin and Scarecrow Festival on Saturday 22nd October.

Annual village events include: Valentine Dance, Quiz Nights, Summer BBQ, Hog Roast, Harvest Supper, Christmas Fair

Monthly Events include: Dominoes, Whist, Mothers Union, Yorkshire Country Women
